Guy you definitely have to try Passport Cafe and Catering! The owner is Carribean and has many Carribean influenced foods, but also has Amercan classics. Passport cafe has been featured in The Columbus Dispatch a couple of times and been in a couple other articles. It's my favorite cafe to eat and would probably be yours too! Ok, so I'm trying to find a good broker for a beginner. Besides pinksheet stocks I've been interested in day trading which I understand has some restrictions with some brokers? Is this true? The Houston Pub has an add in the Barberton / Norton Town Money Saver. Which is a local flyer with adds in it. I do not think they have ever been on the show and thought you might not like them utilizing your logo to bring in business. The also state "Featuring Sandwiches From" the logo.

I have had several people try and use my website as place to get their advertizing info for their site. I have a web designer that has shut them down or got my info off their sights. I'm not in the food industry business.

The owner had owned Charlies prior and we have eaten their, but would not recommend them. I have never been in the new one (Houston Pub) so I can not comment on their food.

You have to check out a place called Sprotas Deli, 100 Station Ave., Glendora, NJ. They serve breakfast and lunch, eat in or take out. They also sell deli. All of their food is home made, from scratch. The soups are fabulous (especially their sausage tortelini); the steak sandwiches (they cook and slice their own meat) are the best in the region. This is a family owend and run place - Carmella Sprota. The place is usually filled with locals, EMTs, police officers. It's small, but great!

Heading to the OBX area in July for a big family vacation, any great food places there? ...help

Tator Tots is located in Holden, La and they have an AWESOME secret sauce and a GREATvariety food. I think it would make a great addition to your show which I ABSOLUTELY love!!!

2 C - hominy

1/2 red onion - finely chopped

garlic - 2 cloves finely chopped

1 serrano pepper - seeds removed finely chopped

1 tsp - chili powder

1 T - vinegar

1 T - canola oil

2 tsp - sugar

1/4 C - lemon juice

1/4 C - cilantro

2 tsp - cumin

dried cranberries, salt & pepper

   I sometimes watch DDD and really like the show. I've actually eaten at one of the places here in SF. (it was Joe's Cable Car). If I hadn't experienced it first hand I may have been tempted to attend. What was shown on TV was all pretty good however, like all the reviewed restaurants, no prices were mentioned.
    Joe's has fairly good food. It's a burger place. The burgers are made from mostly chuck steak so not too expensive, right? Wrong! If I knew going in that I'd wind up spending over $23 for an (average size & quality) cheeseburger, fries and a soda, I would have gone elsewhere. I could have gotten a steak dinner for the same price.
    So please do us, the viewing public, a favor and at least give us some of the prices of the food shown. I know this may not help the restaurant owners but it raises the credibility of DDD and would make it way more useful as a tool for deciding where to eat.
    Now after the Joe's review and comparison of some other places introduced on the show, I have less faith in the opinions expressed there.

It was sort of a cabin like restaurant and the owners were in a bad location originally. Had it jacked up and moved across town or the tracks or something. Which one was that??

Found it by watching for re-runs. It's Brussels sprout hash served with catfish fillets and corn cakes. The show was the Blast from the Past on 11/14. The chef is Monica May and at the 5 Cent Diner in L.A. I kept pausing and forwarding to get all the ingredients for each dish including the pan sauce for the catfish. Yum! Can't find the diner in the CA listings though?

I want to know also. My husband & I went to a great local hang out in San Simeon, Ca called Sebastian's Store. The best Hamburgers EVER!!!! Grass fed local Hearst Ranch Beef that graze right out in the open fields across the street from the Cafe. Hmmm Hmmm Good! Sebastian’s Store is an 150-year-old historical landmark. It's the old Post office meets new Herst Winery tasting room meets best Diner with fresh & local ingredients. They also offer a great selection of fine gifts and unique household items. It's located across Hwy.1 from the Hearst Castle entrance at San Simeon Cove. Guy, you HAVE to go there!!!!!

This is more like a gourmet French restaurant then a diner. It's owned by a trained french chef, Jeanne Pierre La June. The diner itself was made up north & shipped down to Florida after the original site was taken down for road work. It's on Byscane Blvd.
